I took Toby to a dog training school from puppyhood, but the approach quickly proved impersonal and I soon stopped going.
I later happened to meet Tanguy. As I was having some difficulty training Toby properly, I decided to take a few basic training sessions with him.
It quickly became clear that he had some very useful tips. He also helps owners use them consciously, which is often the hardest part. You may know every tip there is, but that does not mean you can consistently apply them consciously while training your dog. That is exactly what Tanguy teaches you.
He works without prejudice, which certainly helps make training effective. With Tanguy’s help, I made great progress. Toby is now two and has become a lovely, affectionate dog. He is not a highly trained dog that knows dozens of tricks, but he does what he needs to do and is under control. I am very happy with that — it was our goal 😊. I still apply what Tanguy taught me every day.
Toby was also afraid to jump into the boot of the car. Tanguy helped me with that too, and the problem was solved in no time! Thank you! Highly recommended if you want to train your dog effectively.

Tanguy at Knox Farm Gundogs is the right person for personalised guidance.
The exercises are based on the client’s questions: what do you want to achieve with your dog, and what do you want to work on? All in a very relaxed atmosphere. Lessons are usually followed by an email summarising the session and the specific points to focus on with your dog, so you can keep practising at home. There is always some time after the lesson to relax with Tanguy’s dogs.

Odette is a working-line English Springer Spaniel. Needless to say, this gundog deserves proper training.

Odette is calm and attentive, yet alert. She already loves retrieving, and walking to heel is her favourite activity.
